Approximate location — plotted from published sources, not a site visit, and not a guarantee of access.
Chidago Canyon holds BLM-managed petroglyph panels on the volcanic tableland north of Bishop, reached from Fish Slough Road. The Bishop Field Office treats the site as a public visit location with posted access directions. Panels sit on basalt outcrops along the canyon; visitation is day-use on existing roads and short walks.
Cultural sites and artifacts are protected by federal law (ARPA/NHPA) — stay on established routes, touch and remove nothing, and follow the managing agency's and the affiliated tribe's guidance on access.
