Wilson Reservoir sits in sagebrush country at the foot of the Bull Run Mountains northwest of Elko. The Bureau of Land Management campground has about two dozen sites, vault toilets, and a boat ramp, and Nevada Department of Wildlife stocks rainbow trout while largemouth bass hold over. Ice fishing draws winter anglers when the unmaintained road is passable.
