2,846-acre (preserve core ~2,246 ac) Wildlands Conservancy property along the perennial Whitewater River at the mouth of a major canyon corridor into the San Gorgonio Wilderness / Sand to Snow National Monument. Cottonwood–willow riparian habitat supports southwestern willow flycatcher and least Bell’s vireo; the canyon is also a bighorn sheep, deer, and bear movement route between the San Bernardino and San Jacinto ranges. Ponds, picnic lawns, and trailheads make it a high-value Coachella Valley field stop.
