National Park Service monument southeast of Flagstaff preserving Sinagua cliff dwellings (roughly 1100–1250 CE) tucked into limestone alcoves of a 350-foot-deep canyon. A rim visitor center overlooks the Island Trail loop past two dozen rooms; the site is also part of the Flagstaff-area International Dark Sky Park designation with Sunset Crater and Wupatki.
