Marshy high-country lake on the Coconino National Forest southeast of Flagstaff, managed with Ducks Unlimited and Arizona Game and Fish as priority waterfowl habitat on Anderson Mesa. Coots, migratory ducks, resident osprey, wintering bald eagles, and elk use the shoreline; the lake can shrink or dry in drought years but still draws wildlife to the wet meadows. Primitive lakeside camping and a simple boat launch sit on the east side; northwest shore is closed to vehicles for nesting.
