High-country lake on Anderson Mesa southeast of Flagstaff, managed by Coconino National Forest with shoreline campgrounds and a boat launch. Holds water better than many nearby stock ponds in dry years and is a noted spring waterfowl stop — white-faced ibis, teal, pintail, plus bald eagles, osprey, and raptors over the juniper–ponderosa rim with the San Francisco Peaks on the skyline.
