Tinemaha Viewing Area

Inyo County, CA

Coordinate verified

A BLM wildlife overlook on the west side of Tinemaha Reservoir in the Owens Valley, built for 360-degree scanning of waterfowl, shorebirds, and tule elk against the Sierra and Inyo mountain fronts. The small developed viewing area is a classic Eastern Sierra birding stop when the reservoir holds water, distinct from Cartago and Blackrock units farther south and north along the Owens corridor.
