Bullion Mining District boomtown founded after 1905–07 gold-silver discoveries on the east side of the Shoshone Range; briefly reached ~1,000 residents with hotel, school, and mill support for the Little Gem and related mines. Later placer dredging in Mill Gulch made the gulch Nevada’s top placer producer in 1938; scattered ruins and camp remnants remain.
