Approximate location — plotted from published sources, not a site visit, and not a guarantee of access.
Starr Springs is a small developed campground at a natural spring on the east side of the Henry Mountains in Garfield County. The site sits off State Route 276 and is a base for exploring the remote Henry Mountains, one of the last-mapped ranges in the lower 48. Facilities are limited; access to the range matters more than amenities.
Cultural sites and artifacts are protected by federal law (ARPA/NHPA) — stay on established routes, touch and remove nothing, and follow the managing agency's and the affiliated tribe's guidance on access.
