Key West Desert watering hole and Pony Express / Overland Stage station site on the Pony Express National Historic Trail. Named for Capt. James H. Simpson’s 1858 survey; excellent spring water made it one of the most important stations between Salt Lake and the Nevada line. BLM campground, interpretive exhibits, 1965 monument, and a 1975 station replica stand on the historic corridor near Faust.
