Pleistocene basaltic-andesite shield volcano (~0.9 Ma) rising above Crater Bench on the Sevier Desert fringe northwest of Delta. Part of the Black Rock Desert volcanic field’s Fumarole Butte subfield, with Lake Bonneville shoreline terraces cut into its slopes and geothermal systems (including nearby Baker Hot Springs) still active in the same structural setting.
