The Point Arena Light Station stands on a coastal bluff in Mendocino County. The original 1870 brick tower was destroyed in the 1906 earthquake. The present 115-foot reinforced-concrete tower was completed in 1908 and later automated. Keepers’ quarters and museum exhibits occupy the grounds. Point Arena Lighthouse Keepers, Inc., operates public access, including paid tower climbs and site admission.
