Tallest sand dunes in California (rising ~680 ft above Eureka Valley’s playa) inside northern Death Valley National Park. An isolated dune field at ~3,000 ft elevation beneath the Last Chance Mountains, known for “singing sand,” endemic dune plants (including threatened Eureka dunegrass), and a remote high-desert setting northwest of the main Death Valley corridor.
