Thermal pools sit in the Deep Creek drainage of the San Bernardino National Forest, between the high desert and Lake Arrowhead country. The main approach drops about 2.5 miles and roughly 950 feet from Bowen Ranch private parking (fee), or longer via the Pacific Crest Trail. Forest Service rules ban overnight camping and campfires at the springs. Waterborne pathogens including Naegleria fowleri are documented in the pools.
Cultural sites and artifacts are protected by federal law (ARPA/NHPA) — stay on established routes, touch and remove nothing, and follow the managing agency's and the affiliated tribe's guidance on access.
