Bull Creek Pass Backcountry Byway

Garfield County, UT

Approximate location — plotted from published sources, not a site visit, and not a guarantee of access.

Bull Creek Pass Back Country Byway is a roughly 68-mile single-lane dirt route through the Henry Mountains south of Hanksville. From desert floor and colored badlands the road climbs through ponderosa and spruce to Bull Creek Pass near 10,500 feet. Developed campgrounds at McMillan Springs and Lonesome Beaver sit on the byway. The Henrys were among the last ranges in the lower forty-eight to be mapped, and the drive is still remote and slow.
