CDFW ecological reserve on the north side of intermittent Baldwin Lake in Big Bear Valley. Protects rare pebble-plain plant communities and vernal wet meadow; important wintering area for bald eagles and a major mountain stop for waterfowl, shorebirds, and raptors when the lake holds water. Short interpretive trail and seasonal volunteer programs.
