Windwhistle Campground sits on the Canyon Rims plateau south of Moab under BLM management. It is a small developed campground used as a base for drives and short walks to Hatch Point and the Needles Overlook country overlooking Canyonlands. The setting is high desert pinyon-juniper mesa rather than a riverside stop.
