Approximate location — plotted from published sources, not a site visit, and not a guarantee of access.
Along Highway 211 between Monticello and the Needles District of Canyonlands, Indian Creek is the northern Special Recreation Management Area corridor of Bears Ears National Monument. Wingate cliffs, desert camps, and crack climbing define the twenty-six-mile stretch. BLM manages camping, climbing, and cultural-resource protections across the unit.
Cultural sites and artifacts are protected by federal law (ARPA/NHPA) — stay on established routes, touch and remove nothing, and follow the managing agency's and the affiliated tribe's guidance on access.
