Westwater Canyon runs about 17 miles of Colorado River whitewater below the Utah–Colorado line, dropping about 125 feet through black Precambrian rock. BLM requires year-round private and commercial permits with daily launch limits. Put-in is at the Westwater Ranger Station; take-out is commonly Cisco Landing.
