Approximate location — plotted from published sources, not a site visit, and not a guarantee of access.
Entrada and Navajo sandstone canyons make up Lost Spring Canyon on the northeast side of Arches National Park. About 3,140 acres were added to the park in 1998; adjacent BLM land remains a wilderness study area. Access is typically from dirt roads north of the park boundary for a remote day hike among arches and alcoves with no developed facilities.
Cultural sites and artifacts are protected by federal law (ARPA/NHPA) — stay on established routes, touch and remove nothing, and follow the managing agency's and the affiliated tribe's guidance on access.
