Approximate location — plotted from published sources, not a site visit, and not a guarantee of access.
Spring-fed waterfalls and hanging gardens form Vasey’s Paradise on the Colorado River about 1.5 miles below the Mile 30 sandbar in Grand Canyon National Park. Groundwater issues from Redwall and Muav cliffs support dense vegetation in an otherwise arid inner-canyon setting. The site is one of two known natural habitats of the endangered Kanab ambersnail and is reachable only by river trip.
Cultural sites and artifacts are protected by federal law (ARPA/NHPA) — stay on established routes, touch and remove nothing, and follow the managing agency's and the affiliated tribe's guidance on access.
