About six miles southwest of Socorro, New Mexico, a box canyon holds the 640-acre BLM Box Recreation Area. Five cliff faces, including Waterfall Wall and Fillet a Papillon Wall, hold technical climbing and bouldering routes. A large parking area with a vault toilet sits at the end of Box Canyon Road off U.S. 60.
