Coronado National Forest trail into a perennial Madrean canyon in the Pajarito Mountains west of Peña Blanca Lake — one of extreme southern Arizona’s richest plant and bird corridors (Goodding Research Natural Area; 600+ plant species and 130+ birds reported). The path follows the stream from the Hank and Yank homestead ruins toward the international border through rock-walled pools and oak–sycamore gallery forest.
