Abandoned 1854 Carson River trading post and emigrant waystation west of Fallon, nicknamed for clothes cast off by desert-crossing travelers. Nevada State Historic Marker No. 19 interprets the site on U.S. 50; little structural fabric remains, but the location anchors a major central-Nevada overland and Pony Express corridor story.
