Porcupine Rim Trailhead on Sand Flats Road east of Moab starts one of the area's classic rim-and-canyon mountain bike and hike routes. The route climbs to overlooks of Castle Valley, then descends ledges and singletrack toward Highway 128 near Grandstaff Canyon. Sand Flats Recreation Area is jointly managed by Grand County and BLM.
