Where the Colorado River curves under cliffs northeast of Moab along State Route 128, Big Bend is a BLM site with first-come individual campsites, reservable group sites, a sandy beach, and a boat launch. It is a standard base for river and red-rock recreation rather than a remote backcountry ruin.
Cultural sites and artifacts are protected by federal law (ARPA/NHPA) — stay on established routes, touch and remove nothing, and follow the managing agency's and the affiliated tribe's guidance on access.
