Oxbow Recreation and Wildlife Area occupies an old Colorado River channel about three miles south of Palo Verde at river mile 100. BLM provides RV and tent sites, a boat launch, and day-use space along the oxbow. Quieter water and fishing on the oxbow contrast with faster traffic on the main river.
