Approximate location — plotted from published sources, not a site visit, and not a guarantee of access.
Bloomington Cave is a gated wild cave in the hills southwest of St. George, managed by the BLM St. George Field Office. Free permits are required at least three days in advance; the north entrance approach follows rough 4WD track in Curley Hollow Wash. Marked routes exist inside; the cave is non-technical but demanding for novices.
Cultural sites and artifacts are protected by federal law (ARPA/NHPA) — stay on established routes, touch and remove nothing, and follow the managing agency's and the affiliated tribe's guidance on access.
