Approximate location — plotted from published sources, not a site visit, and not a guarantee of access.
West of Santa Clara and St. George, the BLM manages Santa Clara River Reserve as a trail system. Signed paths from Anasazi Valley, Tukupetsi, and Cove Wash trailheads reach riparian stretches of the Santa Clara River, desert ridges, and publicly interpreted rock-art sites of Ancestral Puebloan and Southern Paiute affiliation. Mountain-bike routes occupy the southern part of the reserve; the northern trails are primarily foot traffic to cultural sites.
Cultural sites and artifacts are protected by federal law (ARPA/NHPA) — stay on established routes, touch and remove nothing, and follow the managing agency's and the affiliated tribe's guidance on access.
