North Caineville Mesa rises above Caineville Wash east of Capitol Reef National Park. A roughly two-mile round-trip route climbs more than 1,200 feet to the mesa rim for views of Factory Butte country and the Waterpocket Fold approaches. BLM lists the trail; the tread is steep and partly informal. Dirt roads north of State Route 24 near Caineville provide access.
Cultural sites and artifacts are protected by federal law (ARPA/NHPA) — stay on established routes, touch and remove nothing, and follow the managing agency's and the affiliated tribe's guidance on access.
