Mesquite Wilderness covers tens of thousands of acres of the Mesquite Mountains and adjacent Clark Mountain country in San Bernardino County. BLM manages desert tortoise habitat and roadless terrain reached from roads off the Nipton–Cima corridor. Hiking and backpacking are primitive, without developed trails.
