At Keysville (historic Keyesville), a BLM Special Recreation Management Area on the Kern River west of Lake Isabella, Gold Rush mining structures, a historic fort site, and Walker Cabin remain among blue oak hills. The SRMA also has river access and dispersed camping under posted rules.
