Iconic flat-topped Navajo Sandstone butte rising ~1,400 ft above Capitol Gorge in Capitol Reef National Park — a golden caprock landmark of the Waterpocket Fold. Reached by the strenuous Golden Throne Trail (~3–4 mi RT, ~700–1,000 ft gain) from the end of Capitol Gorge Road, with viewpoint of the throne and fold country.
