Glen Aulin sits at about 7,800 feet beside the Tuolumne River below Waterwheel Falls. It is one of Yosemite's High Sierra Camps, begun in the late 1920s. The tent-cabin complex is reached by foot from Tuolumne Meadows and was listed on the National Register with the other wilderness High Sierra Camps. Reservations and wilderness permits control overnight use; day hikers use the same trail corridor.
Cultural sites and artifacts are protected by federal law (ARPA/NHPA) — stay on established routes, touch and remove nothing, and follow the managing agency's and the affiliated tribe's guidance on access.
