East Cactus Plain Wilderness covers about 14,630 acres of the eastern Cactus Plain sand-dune field roughly ten miles north of Bouse in La Paz County, Arizona. Elevations run only about 1,200–1,500 feet across shrub-covered, stabilized and semi-stabilized dunes unique in western Arizona. Dirt roads such as Swansea Road and a power-line maintenance road reach within walking distance of the boundary. Recreation is primitive hiking and dispersed use with no trails.
