Chimney Reservoir

Humboldt County, NV

Approximate location — plotted from published sources, not a site visit, and not a guarantee of access.

A 1974 impoundment on the Little Humboldt River system about fifty miles northeast of Winnemucca, managed by NDOW as a large warmwater fishery (walleye, crappie, channel catfish, tiger muskie, and more) with developed shoreline camping, restrooms, and a concrete boat ramp. When full it covers roughly 2,150 surface acres—remote Humboldt County water that doubles as open habitat for waterbirds and desert-edge wildlife.
