California Emigrant Trail landmark and Central Pacific Railroad shipping station on the Humboldt River, famous for mineral hot springs that once supported a Hot Springs Hotel resort. Brief 1897–1900 mining boom (Golconda & Adelaide narrow gauge) left a Victorian schoolhouse (now community center) and a quiet living hamlet just off I-80 east of Winnemucca.
