Winnemucca Sand Dunes are a low-lying dune complex north of Winnemucca, Nevada, managed in part from a BLM staging area on US-95 about eight miles north of town. The larger dune field is a checkerboard of public and private land, so riders and walkers must stay on open public parcels. OHV use and sightseeing are the main activities.
