Historic Mono County hot-spring settlement (Old Benton) west of modern Benton on the Benton Range fringe. Supply center for nearby mines in the 1860s–1880s; USGS Waring (1915) recorded spring water ~135°F. Today the springs support a long-running commercial inn/soaking complex with public fee access in high-desert sage country between Bishop and the Nevada line.
