Walking Box Ranch sits on a 160-acre tract about seven miles west of Searchlight. Silent-film stars Rex Bell and Clara Bow bought the working cattle ranch in 1931; the ranch house and outbuildings remain as a National Register district acquired by the BLM in 2005. Interior tours have been suspended, but the agency still directs visitors to walk the outside perimeter. The period of significance runs 1931–1958 for Mojave cattle ranching and the property's architecture.
