Tiny Ivanpah Valley railroad town founded 1905 on the San Pedro, Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad (later Union Pacific), on the NE edge of Mojave National Preserve. Once a cattle-loading and mine-supply crossroads; 1910 adobe hotel and desert townsite remain a living historic stop between Primm, NV and Searchlight.
