Short-lived Castle Valley agricultural ghost town east of Elmo, settled about 1910 when alkaline floodwater ruined farming at nearby Desert Lake and families relocated to drier ground named for postal worker George W. Victor. Wind-blown sand dunes and chronic drought forced abandonment by about 1920; a schoolhouse ruin and scattered foundations remain among sage and sand. Quiet Emery County remnant near the Desert Lake wetlands, not a living farm town.
