A free-standing Entrada Sandstone monolith rising more than 400 feet above the floor of Cathedral Valley in Capitol Reef’s remote North District. Paired with nearby Temple of the Moon and Glass Mountain, it is the signature stop on the Caineville Wash / Cathedral Valley backcountry loop of bentonite badlands and desert cathedrals.
