A Douglas-fir log cabin built in 1921 for the Swasey cattle operation stands in the San Rafael Swell. BLM maintains trailhead access off I-70 (exit 131) into the Sinbad/Swasey area; the cabin is listed on the Utah State Register of Historic Sites. The site is a short walk from parking among swell badlands.
Cultural sites and artifacts are protected by federal law (ARPA/NHPA) — stay on established routes, touch and remove nothing, and follow the managing agency's and the affiliated tribe's guidance on access.
