Dramatic travertine dam built by mineral-rich hot springs across the Jemez River beside NM 4 just north of Jemez Springs. The white-to-cream calcium-carbonate formation, spring orifices, and roadside pull-off make it one of the most accessible hydrothermal geology stops on the Jemez Mountain Trail Scenic Byway.
