Sierra Vista Trail

Doña Ana County, NM

Approximate location — plotted from published sources, not a site visit, and not a guarantee of access.

Twenty-nine-mile National Recreation Trail along the west flank of the Organ Mountains and the east side of the Franklins, east and southeast of Las Cruces. Multiple trailheads on Dripping Springs Road, Soledad Canyon Road, and Interstate 10 exits serve hikers, mountain bikers, and riders on a mostly gravel desert tread with views of the Organ spires. The route was built to replace the old Westside Road after private land cut that corridor.
