Sacatar Trail Wilderness occupies the rugged east face of the southern Sierra Nevada northwest of Ridgecrest. Valleys and alluvial fans rise into granite summits above 7,800 feet. The historic Sacatar Trail climbs from desert approaches toward the crest. BLM Ridgecrest/Bakersfield area offices manage the land.
