Rye Patch Reservoir is a long storage lake on the Humboldt River in Pershing County, impounded for irrigation and now managed as Rye Patch State Recreation Area. The park sits just off Interstate 80 between Lovelock and Winnemucca with campgrounds, boat launches, and shoreline fishing access. In an otherwise dry stretch of northern Nevada, the reservoir is a common Great Basin road-trip stop.
