Early silver camp in Humboldt Canyon on the west flank of the Humboldt Range, ~10 mi SW of Mill City and a few miles SE of I-80. Settled in the early 1860s with a post office 1862–1869; at peak roughly 200 houses. Stone ruins and foundations remain along the canyon approach.
