Riverside Mountains Wilderness covers desert peaks and washes west of the Colorado River in Riverside County. Primary access is from State Highway 95 on the east, using four-wheel-drive roads to the boundary. The unit is roadless inside and has cross-country desert hiking without developed facilities.
